I just completed another Shedooby 56-day mission. This wasn’t my first time through the program, but it was my first run with the new hidden image reveals—and they made a real difference in maintaining momentum.
It took me closer to 80 days than 56, but I pushed through and hit my marks where it counted. Here’s my after-action report.
Mission Objectives and Results
Professional (Web & iOS Development) Objective: Secure 2 new web clients and deploy a Shopify store on shedooby.com.
Status: Partial victory. I engaged 7 local businesses with proposals and mock-ups. Radio silence on most fronts. I gained valuable reps on Squarespace, built a Next.js demo and a vanilla JS site, and successfully rescued a broken WordPress site for a new client. The Shopify store is now operational.
I’m still locked in on the ultimate goal: graduating from my first-shift factory painting duty. The silent rejections didn’t break me—they’re intel. Next mission I’ll follow up with direct calls and test advertising. Forward momentum.
Personal Sector (Guitar & Stage Time) Objective: Complete 2 open mic nights and advance through Beato guitar lessons.
Status: Objective achieved.
First open mic at Dobbs hit hard—nerves engaged, big crowd from a dart tournament, multiple performers. I delivered 3 songs with minor flubs and earned polite applause. Second night was quieter, but I pushed through four songs after my pickup failed during the first.
I chose to play my political material despite advice to play it safe. At 60, I’m not here to chase popularity. These songs are my release valve. I need to speak my mind. It’s cathartic, whether the audience salutes or not.
Reward: A new, upgraded guitar pickup. Mission accomplished.
Physical Fitness Sector Objective: Build visible strength, stamina, and mental resilience.
Status: Green across the board. Six-pack, sharper definition in arms and shoulders, strong cardio, and better mobility. The anxiety and stress control benefits are combat multipliers.
Reward: Simple leather watch band as a daily reminder that I followed through.
Navigating the Mid-Mission Lull (Day 28)
Every mission has its low point around day 28. Motivation weakens. Life intervenes—appointments, travel, unexpected obstacles. I handled my Aruba week with a solid contingency for physical training, but professional and personal practices took hits.
Key lesson: While the hidden images give you permission to extend, maximum impact comes from completing the 56 days straight. For the next mission, I’ll build stronger contingency plans so nothing stops the daily practices.
When the lull hits, deploy one or both of these lashes: “Finish what you started.” “You’ve got 28 Pro, Hobby and Fitness to go. Finish strong, recruit.”
(Not finishing what I start has been a longtime weakness. These reminders cut through the noise.)
Next Mission Launches Tomorrow, July 1st
This latest mission reinforced what I already knew: I’m on the correct path. Even partial success in the professional sector has me more determined than ever. I put in the reps, learned new skills, helped a client, shipped the store, and proved I can maintain discipline under fire.
Shedooby is the ultimate digital drill sergeant—keeping you accountable across Professional, Personal, and Physical sectors with clear daily missions and visual reinforcement.
I don’t know how many 56-day missions it will take to fully graduate my factory post, scale the app, or sharpen my songwriting. But I do know this: the mission is tough, demanding, and deeply satisfying.
If you’re ready to lock in and transform your life, join the program. Set your objectives. Expect resistance around day 28. Push through it.
I’ll see you in the trenches—starting fresh tomorrow.
SHEDOOBY WANTS YOU!
